Stage 2 Exhibition - Was Life the Same for Everyone?

Dear Parents and Careers,

Stage 2 would like to invite you to view the

Stage 2 Exhibition  - Was Life the Same for Everyone?

This is a culmination of the learning that has taken place in HSIE this term around the colonisation of Australia in 1788. The focus of this task was to research a specific people group who were present during the time period and look at the impact they had on this event and the impact the event had on them.

Date: Friday 18 September (Last day of Term)

 Time: 12:00pm - 1:00pm

Location: All 4 classes of work will be displayed upstairs, above the Library.

Please note: Even though this is the last day of term, the students will be working. During this event they will be evaluating and reflecting on their learning and looking deeper into the perspective of other people groups. Please do not take your child home at lunch, you will have the pleasure of their company for the next two weeks.

Kamay National Park

Here are a few happy snaps from our excursion on Tuesday to Kamay National Kark at Kurnell.

When we arrived the guides taught us about native and introduced animals.

We than went to look at where Captain Cook first landed.

We made our own picture of the Endeavour using materials we could find.

We were very fortunate to avoid the storm.
Overall a fantastic day where students were once again great ambassadors of both themselves and our school.

A few pictures from our Sports Heroes Day.
Well done year 3. It was great to see everyone putting in their best effort.

Thanks to Mr Tolhurst and Mr Dixon for organising the day.
A special thanks to the year 9 students who ran the novelty events.

It was an excellent day and we had lots of fun.
